Position Overview We are looking for a qualified and driven Quantity Surveyor & Planning / Scheduling Engineer to join our international project team. This dual-role requires expertise in both cost estimation and construction planning, and the successful candidate must be willing to relocate to Somalia.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Coordination
- Develop detailed construction schedules with defined milestones and work sequences.
- Use Primavera P6 and MS Project to build and update the master project schedule.
- Coordinate activities with site teams, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Contribute to design reviews with cost-effective solutions.
- Track and report weekly/monthly progress, including dashboards and delay analyses.
- Prepare Extension of Time (EOT) claims with supporting documentation.
- Ensure no work starts without timeline, budget, and schedule approval.
Quantity Surveying
- Review architectural and engineering drawings for resource and cost planning.
- Prepare precise Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on updated drawings.
- Monitor and document project variations and assess cost/scope impacts.
- Support procurement with accurate quantity take-offs and material requirements.
- Assist in tender preparation, contractor evaluations, and contract award negotiations.
- Maintain finishing schedules and materials specifications for consistency and quality. Key Skills &

- 5–7 years of experience in construction planning and quantity surveying roles.
- Strong command of scheduling software and technical reporting.
