Job Summary

Alasoft is looking for a highly creative, smart, and driven MERN Stack Developer to be part of our ambitious blockchain-oriented team developing cutting-edge Web3 websites and connected technologies. We’re looking for exceptional candidates with extensive backend development experience—preferably in Node.js—and a mastery of the entire MERN stack. It’s a wonderful chance to help shape the future of building extraordinary, fast, and incredibly performant applications for next-generation web platforms.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

On the backend, we worked with a LAMP stack.

Design, build, and maintain robust server-side applications using Node.js and Express.js with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.

API Development:

Develop secure and efficient RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs as needed.

Database Management:

Work with MongoDB and Mongoose for data modeling, schema design, indexing, aggregation, and optimization.

Frontend Integration:

Work alongside frontend teams to achieve a consistent experience between the Node.js backend and React.js frontend.

Authentication & Security:

Implement and manage user authentication mechanisms such as JWT and OAuth, adhering to security best practices.

Code Quality & Testing:

Write clean, maintainable, and testable code. Share ideas, conduct code reviews, and write unit/integration tests using industry standards (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Chai).

Performance Optimization:

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize backend systems for speed and efficiency.

Collaborative Team Environment:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
